Day 18: Rimmel ScandalEyes Retro Glam Mascara
On this 18th day of mascara (who knew I'd make it this far?!), we're looking at the newest addition to Rimmel's mascara line: ScandalEyes Retro Glam Mascara (retail: $5.99). As I've said in my review of Rimmel's Glam'Eyes, I've tried so hard to like Rimmel's mascara, but they always fall flat.
This isn't the least voluminous mascara I've ever tried, but it certainly isn't most voluminous, either. Again, I used 2 coats, but it still didn't give me the volume I was expecting. I mean, when I think of Britain, retro, and glam, I think of Twiggy and those crazy lashes! Rimmel, if you're going to name a product "retro glam" you better make sure it delivers on the volume.
Other than the obvious naming oversight, Retro Glam fares well. It doesn't clump, flake, or smudge and doesn't make my lashes feel rigid. While applying the second coat, however, the mascara made my lashes stick together at little. As I said, it was only a little, so it was an easy fix.
Likes:
- price
- no clumps, flakes, or smudges
Dislikes:
- did not add desired volume
- made lashes stick together slightly
