Day 16: Essence Maximum Definition Volume Mascara
Today we're looking at a new-to-me mascara - Essence Maximum Definition (retail: $4.99). Since I loved Essence's I Love Extreme Crazy Volume (click for my review) so much, I thought I'd give this a try to see how well it compares. Let's take a look:
When I applied the first coat, it looked very defined and separated my lashes well. With the second coat, however, my lashes clumped together and made them look very spidery. If that's the kinda look you're going for, you might enjoy this. As far as myself, I like to stay spider-free.
What also bothered me about this mascara is that it became pretty flaky by the end of the day. One touch of your lashes and the mascara would flake off. Again, not the kinda look I (and hopefully everyone else) am going for. With the flaking and clumping, this one's a total dud.
