Day 10: Milani Total Lash Cover
I'm going to be honest here, the only reason I bought
Milani's Total Lash Cover mascara (retail: $4.49) was because of the applicator. I mean, look at it! Wouldn't you want to buy it?
Now, it doesn't look nearly as impressive covered in black goo, but I've got to give it to Milani for creating a wand that draws you in. Ok, maybe it's only drawn me in, but you get the idea.
Although flashy, the wand actually sucks. And I don't mean it sucks you in, I mean I really can't stand it. You see that little pink knob on the end? That thing makes it nearly impossible to reach the inner and outer lashes without making a mess.
That's not even the worst part. Those pink spikes are sight destroyers. Every time I use this mascara, I end up poking myself in the eye. I'm not the most graceful person in the world, but I know how to apply mascara and it usually doesn't end with me gouging my eye out.
With the application being so awful, it's hard to tell how the formula fares. It certainly doesn't flake or smudge, but I can't really speak to how well it adds volume or separates since the wand doesn't do it's job.
