Revlon Colorstay Pressed Powder ($9.99): I had a couple of coupons for this guy and while I wasn't all that impressed when I first tried it, it's becoming one of my favorite powders. I find it works pretty well with some foundations over others, but when I use it with elf's Powder Brush ($3) it really helps keep my face shine-free.
Julep Essential Cuticle Oil ($18, $14.40 Maven Pricing): I've been wanting to get some cuticle oil since my hands have been pretty dry this winter. I've been signed up as a Julep Maven (click to learn more and to get your free box using code FREEBOX) for several months but have skipped the past few months since I've been watching what I buy. Thanks to my declining memory, I totally forgot to skip December and ended up with this lovely gal in my Maven Box. I've been using it every night since, and my cuticles never looked better!
CoverGirl Outlast Stay Fabulous 3-in-1 Foundation: This foundation was a surprise hit for me. I have very oily skin so I wasn't expecting it to last very long, but it is the longest lasting foundation I own. It's not heavy like Revlon Colorstay and it lasts just as long (if not longer). A must for oily-faced gals!
Bath & Body Works Malibu Heat Fine Fragrance Mist (sold out online): I had been avoiding (boycotting) B&BW ever since they discontinued a couple of my favorite scents, but I decided to try my luck with their semi-annual sale to see if I could get any good deals. I got this delicious fragrance for around $3. It's the perfect mix of sweet and spicy!
Zoya Nail Polish ($9-$10; pictured: Sailor): Thanks to Ipsy, I am hooked on Zoya! Their formula is the best I've tried and although it's not the cheapest (they run from $9-$10 each), it really is the best. The selection is ginormous, and they do run some pretty great sales now and again. (You can get 3 free polishes now through 01/13 with code COLOR2014. Shipping is $12 or free if you spend $25. I just ordered 6 polishes for $29 or $4.83 a piece!)
Dr. Bronner's 18-in-1 Hemp Peppermint Pure-Castille Soap ($10.40, 16 oz.): Ever since Nouveau Cheap recommended this, it's all I use to clean my makeup brushes. It gets 'em super clean without leaving a greasy, oily mess that comes from using pure oil. I've only found this at Target (I found it near the Yes To brands where the "organic" beauty products are located), and this 16 oz. brute is the smallest size they carry. But, Dr. Bronner's site sells bottles from 2 oz. all the way up to 1 gallon. That's a lotta soap!
No7 Day Cream for Normal/Oily skin ($13.99; available at Target): My face has been pretty dry this winter, so I've turned to this guy and my face loves it! I use just a very small portion on my face every morning and it really helps prep for primer and foundation. Since it's made for normal/oily skin, it won't clog your pores or leave a greasy residue. It's perfect for those winter days! Oily skin doesn't necessarily mean hydrated skin, so be sure to moisturize!
Vaseline Lip Therapy Rosy Lips Lip Balm ($1.99): Best. Lip Balm. EVER. The only way this stuff would be better is if it were in a tube of some sort where you didn't have to apply it with your finger (who wants to get their finger messy?) It leaves your lips soft and lasts for hours!
elf Lip Exfoliator ($3): If you're planning on rocking a bold lip, exfoliation is a must! This exfoliator is in a convenient lipstick tube so you can slough away those dead skin cells without making a mess. Plus, in true elf fashion, it's only $3!
L'Oreal Limited Edition Project Runway Blush in The Temptress' Blush ($4.32) & Boxycharm Subscription Beauty Box ($21/month): I have been hooked on this subscription ever since this blush came in my very first box. It's a beautiful dusty rose with fine golden shimmer. For $21 a month, you'll get 5-6 full-size products (some are discontinued items or colors). Most items are drugstore, but they have included some brands that even I hadn't heard of. Click to learn more and subscribe!
Sephora Glossy Gloss ($12; shown in Creme Brulee): This is probably my favorite lip gloss collection of all time! The Sephora Collection in general is usually forgotten and underrated, but these glosses are great. They are very pigmented and last for several hours. Although they're $12 a pop, they're twice as big as drugstore glosses, so it's still a good deal.
*Random Favorite* Honey Roasted Cashews (not pictured): For those of you who have recently found themselves watching what you eat, these are disgusting - move along. For those of you who are not on any kind of diet, these are the most delicious salty-sweet snack your taste buds will encounter. I love cashews and recently got myself addicted after a pre-overnight shift snack run. You can find these at drugstores and groceries, but my favorite brand is Walgreens' brand Nice!
Now that I'm done rambling, what products were you loving in 2013? Are you looking forward to any new releases in 2014? Comment below!

The Covergirl Outlast 3-in-1 is my hands-down favorite makeup discovery from 2013, and maybe in my life. Best. Foundation. Ever! I have never found a foundation that looks so nice with my skin tone and lasts all day long. Love it!!
ReplyDeleteThere are very few CoverGirl products that I've enjoyed, but this one might just make me a little more willing to try out some other CG products. Finally, a foundation that can stand up to my oily skin!
