| Kiss Gradation Polishes; Retail: $7 |
I'm not particularly skilled at doing my own nails, so when I received this little polish kit, I was a little worried that my sub-par skills wouldn't be a match for this 3-step system. Thankfully, it didn't prove to be too difficult, although I think the gold version is probably the most fool-proof.
Instructions:
1. Apply two coats of Step 1 polish, and let dry.
2. Apply one coat of Step 2 polish on tip of nail only, approximately 1/3 of nail.
3. Before Step 2 polish is dry, apply one coat of Step 3 polish on top 1/2 of nail to blend colors. Let it dry completely. Repeat the steps on the other hand.
My tip: I was worried that the polish would dry if I applied Step 2 to the whole hand before moving to Step 3, so I applied both Steps 2 & 3 one nail at a time, right after each other.
I will say that my manicure didn't turn out quite as well as the picture on the packaging, then again, does anything look as good as the packaging makes it look (hello, photoshop)?! I also didn't really like the color of Step 2 - it's a little too dark and looks quite yellow. The glitter in Step 3 would also go a lot better with the set if it were a bit smaller. Other than that, it's not too bad!
