Fall Trend: Powder Pink?!

In collaboration with Less is More Beauty's post on styling powder pink, this post will show you how to balance your makeup with this trendy fall color.  Since this pastel pink isn't usually an "in" color for fall, I'll be showing you how to make this look more warm and appropriate for fall.

Take this look from Céline:

The model's makeup balances out all the "cuteness" from this blush color (love the gray and pink)!  If you're going to wear a good amount of pastel pink (or any pastel for that matter) be sure to bring a little edge to the look by creating a slight bronzed or smokey eye:

Maybelline Stylish Smokes in Natural Smokes ($6.49):

If eyeshadow isn't your thing, rock a bold red or crimson lip.  Touches of red with pink work surprisingly well together.  Just don't overdo it - you don't want to look like a Hallmark store on Valentine's Day!

Milani Color Statement Lipstick in Best Red ($5.49) and Wet n Wild Mega Last Lip Color in Cherry Bomb ($1.99):

Feeling adventurous?  Try adding a little green to the mix by using Maybelline EyeStudio Quad in Green with Envy ($9.79):

With pastels normally being reserved for spring or summer, it can be hard to learn how to style this trend for another season.  Just add a little edge and warmth to your spring looks and you're on your way to sporting pastels all year long!

Are there any looks from Fall 2013 that have caught your eye?  Any surprises?  Leave a comment and let me know your thoughts on fall trends!

  1. I am so excited for this color in the Fall! I am excited to mix it with a black leather jacket and smokey eye you have suggested! I think it is the perfect mix for feminine and edgy.
